Delivery from heaven

Hi!

Didn't we want summer? Why .......... It's simply TOO HOT! Wasn't it perfect when the temperatures were around 23 °C? I know, it's never ok for everybody.
My cousin gave birth to a little baby boy and I made her a card with one of my new stamps from the Special moment Collection. I love this collection. Tilda's are so pretty. The only one I don't really like is wedding couple - they could be prettier. They look old (I know they are vintage, but ...)! :(
I really enoyojed coloring this one, maybe because I was stamped on my last bit of Langton HP prestige paper and now all I'm left with is Lanton HP which isn't nearly as good as the first one. The shape of the card was cut out with my Silhouette cameo.

.... and the good news? My happy mail has arrived (special prize from Magnolia): stamps, dies, papers ... wohooooo :)

I'm entering this card into some challenges. One of them is Going for a song at Totally Tilda Challenge blog and the song is a nursery rhyme called:

Last Night The Stork Came Calling

Last night the stork came calling
And there beneath its wing.
Lay sleeping oh so sweetly
The tiniest little thing.

From babyland so far away
Beside a silver sea,
Was brought a special treasure
As a gift to you and me.

For this box I used:

  • colors: TH distress ink markers and distress ink pads
  • ink: Archival black
  • watercolor paper: Langton HP prestige 300g
  • design papers:
  • stamp: Love background, Delivery from heaven (Special Moment Coll., 2013)
  • dies: Magnolia Doohickey - scalloped tags, Spellbinders - floral ovals, Marianne - decorative elegance
  • flowers from Wild orchid crafts, I am roses
  • blue organza ribbon
  • white lace
  • white paper doily
  • wooden horse
  • adhesive diampnds (Magnolia Knick Knackerys - Morning Dew)
  • frantage (shabby blue).

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
  1. Tilda's Town: Use your stash (doily, papers, lace)
  2. Totally Tilda Challenge blog:  Going for a song (Last night the stork came calling)
  3. Magnolia Down Under: Anything goes

Hi!

It's been a sad week for my family. My grandmother died. I haven't been crafting due to the lack of mojo and energy. I made this easel card last week. This was a special order for a lady who likes to sew and the main focus is on the little envelope which contains a ticket for a sewing class. :)
I used Tilda makes a blueberry blanket from the Turning leaves collection which imo is perfect for the occasion.

Kneeling Tilda box

Hi!

As I promised yesterday today I have something different for you. I made a candy drawer box (some kind of a gift wrapping) with Kneeling Tilda. This lovely Tilda has been in my stamp box for ages. I used it only once and as I remember I wasn't too thrilled with the result. :)

So, here's my box. The shape was cut out with my Silhouette Cameo. As you can see it has two drawers, which have been colored with crackle paint and then frantaged. All the edges and corners have been painted with crackle paint too, to add a little vintage/aged look. Tilda has got cute little pearl earrings and a small flower in her hand (instead of a lady bug). There is also a butterfly on the side. On the lover edges there is a lace cut out with my MS punch.
This is my first box ever so please don't be too harsh with the comments! ;)

For this box I used:

  • colors: TH distress ink markers and distress ink pads
  • ink: Archival black
  • watercolor paper: Langton HP 300g
  • design papers: First Edition - Spring feast
  • stamp: Kneeling Tilda (Sweet Rainbow Collection, 2011)
  • dies: Magnolia Doohickey - peacock feathers
  • punch: Martha Stewart - doily lace, Tonic Studios - Butterfly
  • flowers from Wild orchid crafts, I am roses, Kort & Godt
  • half pearls
  • liquid pearls - color opal
  • TH crackle paint
  • frantage (shabby white, rose fragments).

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
  1. Midweek Magnolias: Anything goes with frantage
  2. Lovely hAnglar or sweet Magnolia: Lace and pearls
  3. Magnolia Down Under (I was no. 1): Thank you (this box was made for my neighbour as a thank you gift for giving me cherries)
  4. Magnolia Mania: Gift coupon wrapping
  5. Tilda's Town: Anything goes

Weekend is over (again) and soon we'll start another busy week, so let's make the best of it!! Hugs, t.

Tilda with little pocket

Hi!

My baby girl is an early bird. Today she woke up at 5.30, all happy and in good spirit. Of course we all had to get up. Now after three hours she's sleeping again and I'm thinking about crafting. :) There is so much work to be done in the house and in the greenhouse, but all I can think right now is a special project I'm working on. It's going to be a little different - come back tomorrow and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Today I'm showing you my purple special shaped card with Tilda with little pocket. With love collection is by far my favourite one. :)
I used a lot of die cuts, frantage and crackle paint on this one. I hope you'll like it. ;)

Anything goes at Marvelous Magnolia

Hi!

It's Thursday and time for another challenge at Marvelous Magnolia. We have an easy one this time - Anything goes! We all love this theme, don't we? ;)

We have two sponsors: Tilda's Town and Hobbycutz!!! I received an award a few weeks back from Hobbycutz and I used almost all of it, because their products are so great. I think there is no introduction needed for Tilda's town. :)

I made a simple card this time. I tried some new goodies I got recently, like Martha Steward punch and new flowers from I am roses, new papers ...
As you know this cutie is holding a bucket of corn which is totally wrong for this time of the year, so I glued some small roses over it and now it looks like she's holding a bucket of flowers. :)

For this card I used:
  • colors: TH distress ink markers and distress ink pads
  • ink: archival black
  • watercolor paper: Langton HP 300g
  • design papers: First Edition - Spring feast

  • frantage (shabby white).

Loving bridal couple

Hi!

I made another Wedding card with loving bridal couple. I was very happy when I saw that the new Magnolia's collection has many wedding stamps, because coloring these two is getting a little boring. :)
This is my second purple wedding card, but I can't remember ever seeing a bride in purple or even bridesmaids. I think the usual colors are pink, peach or ivory. Am I wrong?

I have a question. Those of you that use Langton watercolor paper, which one exactly do you use. I bought Langton HP prestige w.p. from UK store and last week I bought Langton HP w.p. (not prestige) here in Slovenia and the difference is HUGE!!! The first one is gorgeous, the result is great, there is no tearing of the paper (little pieces, I don't know the English phrase or word for it). Paper bought here is awful, little pieces of paper are tearing when coloring over the same spots and the colors are just not right. Do you have any similar experiences?

For this card I used:

  • colors: TH distress ink markers and distress ink pads
  • ink: archival black
  • watercolor paper: Langton HP 300g
  • design papers: First edition papers - Dreamcatcher
  • stamp: Loving bridal couple (Wedding Collection, 2010)
  • dies: Magnolia Doohickey -peacock feathers, Spellbinders floral ovals
  • flowers from Wild orchid crafts, I am roses
  • cheesecloth
  • liquid pearls - color opal
  • stickles glue (stardust)
  • TH crackle paint (picket fence)
  • purple organza ribbon
  • frantage (chunky white, aged gold).

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
  1. Stamp and create with Magnolia: Spring shaped card
  2. Magnolia Down Under: Bling it baby
  3. Midweek Magnolias: Make it sparkle
  4. Tilda's Town: Let's celebrate
Thank you all for your lovely comments! Hugs, t.

Layers and lace at Simply Magnolia

Hi!

It's Saturday and time for another challenge at Simply Magnolia Challenge blog. This time we want you to use at least 4 layers on your card (includes base) and also add lace to embellish.

We have two great sponsors this time: The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop and Stamping Tilda.

I used 9 layers (including the image), yes 9 and beige lace together with a doily lace cut out with TH die. The butterfly on the left is wooden butterfly that I got as my prize from Hobbycutz. When I found out I'm getting wooden embellishments I didn't know what will I use them for, but when I got them I was instantly full of ideas. I painted this one with white acrilic paint and then covered with shabby white frantage. Heart balloon is covered with glossy accent. ;)

For this card I used:

  • colors: TH distress ink markers and distress ink pads
  • ink: archival black
  • watercolor paper: Langton HP 300g
  • design papers: My Mind's Eye
  • stamp: Tilda with heart balloon (With love Collection, 2013), New York (With love Collection, 2013)
